AN AUTUMN programme of fitness inspired by the Mayor of Test Valley Cllr Chris Lynn has led to some astonishing weight losses.

The Mayor’s Fit Club officially finished at Christmas with Steve Branton topping the tree with a loss of 42lbs while John Ray will also be looking slimmer after shedding 25lbs.

The regular meetings and weigh-in sessions took place at Energie Fitness Club.

The club’s owner, Andrew White, said: “During the empower process we asked people ‘now that you have completed the empower programme how do you feel and so far what have you achieved?’”

Slimmer Malcolm Lloyd said: “I feel fitter and slimmer and have seen a big change in all measurements.”

Super slimmer John Ray said: “I have a more positive attitude and achieved significant weight loss and increase in overall fitness.”

John Cockaday, who lost a stone, said: “It’s becoming easier and I am doing it.”

Mayoress Frances Lynn said she felt more energetic and was looking forward to improving fitness and felt less intimidated by fitness club and had gained more knowledge on how to continue improvement.
