THE Naomi House shop in Andover welcomed a Mad Hatter’s tea party last Thursday to raise money for the hospice.
Staff from Virgin Media took part in the event, which saw Naomi House shops in Basingstoke and Winchester, as well as Andover, taken over by characters from Alice in Wonderland.
Free cakes and a tombola were laid on for customers, plus lots of extra highquality goods, which were bought for charity.
Street collections on the day garnered £62.86, with £830 raised in store and a further £1,200 generated through items auctioned online.
Emma Rich, of Virgin Media, said: “The takeover sees the stores compete to see who can raise the most money for their shop and it has been great fun.
“The company gives a day every year to go and support local charities such as Naomi House.”
