A Tidworth soldier will have a front seat at the Olympic Games – as a judge.
Staff Sgt John Postance, who is serving with the Royal Signals based in Tidworth, has been picked from hundreds of hopefuls to be a line judge at the indoor volleyball in Earls Court, London.
The 48-year-old of Salisbury competed with 350 others to be selected in the final 26 for the Olympic events.
Staff Sgt Postance said: “It’s a thrill to be going to the Olympics, it’s a chance of a lifetime – I am so pleased.”
