POLICE have launched an appeal after a chainsaw was stolen from a works vehicle.
The mechanical tool was stolen between 4 March and 5 March, while the vehicle was parked in a communal car park in Fyfield, near Thruxton.
A police spokesperson, said: "This occurred in a communal residents' car park and we urge residents to check their vehicles for damage or theft.
"Please also ensure that vehicles are always locked when left unattended and expensive items are removed if left for long period of times.
"Additional locks and security can be sort for vehicles."
