Highlands Road supermarket thief jailed
A HIGHLANDS Road supermarket thief has been jailed.
Alfie Smith was sentenced to a total of 56 days in prison after admitting to stealing food from Andover Lidl worth £33.82 in February.
The 34-year-old further pleaded guilty to taking food and alcohol valued at between £90 and £100 from Co-op in Amesbury several weeks earlier.
Smith was sentenced to just under two months in jail when he appeared before magistrates in Basingstoke recently due to his previous record of offending.
No orders for costs or compensation were made.
