Firefighters from Romsey and Lyndhurst rescued a driver from his van after it became stuck in a flooded ford at Plaitford yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).

 The man became trapped after entering around two feet of fast moving flood water.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service is reminding drivers not to drive into flood water.

If you are unsure of the depth, do not attempt to drive through it and find an alternative route.
