Font fete fun

First published in Romsey

ORGANISERS have lined up a package of what they hope will be crowd-pulling attractions at Sunday’s Mottisfont Fete.

These include a family pet show, musical performances by the Bernie Boozle Band, a demonstration by St John’s Church bell ringers from Lockerley, chicken splat, traditional skittles, art displays and a local history display. Mottisfont author Charlotte Bennett will be signing her latest book Bugglepuffs and the Magic Key at the fete which will be opened at 2pm by Lockerley Carnival Queen, Katie Sheaf and her royal court.

Other attractions include Topper the Scarecrow with author and vintage car enthusiast Darrell Cunningham, archery demonstrations, a barbecue and bar, and various stalls.
