Andover Tae Kwon-Do enjoyed yet another successful day out, this time in Worcester at the English National Championships. A newly constructed venue was selected this year on the banks of the River Severn at Worcester University, providing state of the art facilities for the 1,500 competitors who took part from across the country. The competition started at 9.30am, running through the whole day, with the juniors colour belt students competing first, shortly followed by adults and black belts.
Leading the way for Andover was Brendon Tasker, who went away with a gold medal for tag team sparring and a bronze for patterns.
Additionally both Tom Lewis and George Barrett won bronze in their respective individual sparring categories.
Charles Gellard, Andover senior instructor said: “We are now working the Andover squad hard for the Welsh Championships which will be held in Cardiff in May.”
