Following this success the Winton Stores sponsored girls faced Oakley in the Winchester and District Girls Football League Plate final and won to complete a memorable season through Ryannon Evans and a Chesky penalty.

A day later the girls were at it again, winning the annual St Francis six a side tournament against some very strong southern teams.

Of the six league games played the girls won five and lost one before beating Petersfield 1-0 through Evans' goal.
