In the Salisbury and District Men’s League Team 1 were on the road first to Amesbury where they won 14-0 but a visit to Salisbury saw them lose 10-4 to a strong side.
Meanwhile Team 2 entertained Pewsey losing 14-0 to a team near the top of the league.
On Friday in the Basingstoke Rinks League Howard Park were the visitors who after a close game went home victorious 3-2.
In the Stan Hardman League Oakley were the visitors and after a good afternoon’s bowling they won 62 to 56 shots.
In the Club Triples completion, after an interesting afternoon’s bowls the winners were Andrew Boyman, Janet Mitchell and Chris Sutton who beat Richard Holmes, George McLaughlin and Bill Rawlinson 8-7 in the final.
In the George Hacking Triples in a very close final which went to an extra end the 11-9 winners were Mike Withers, Cynthia Hamilton and Robin Kingston who beat Mike Ford, Jill Goulding and Andy McLardy.
In the men’s county competitions Jim Horne reached the last 16 of the two woods competition after winning his game at Eastleigh Rail against M Barrett.
