Crown Taveners II v Longparish III.

With thunder hanging heavy in the air Longparish III were the only one of the club's senior sides that managed to make it onto the field.

Under 13 Jordan Blackmore took 2-21 and U15 Dan Bearpark 1-22 but U15 Harry Samways put in a superb performance and confirmed his burgeoning reputation as an opening bowler with 8.3 overs, 4-4 as Crown Taverners II were all out for 101. Trevor Walters hit back with 3 -19 for Taverners but an impressive 37 from U15 Jamie Blackmore saw Longparish III past their target with 23 overs remaining.

Bishops Waltham U15 v Longparish U15.

Longparish U15's fine form continued with a convincing win at Bishops Waltham. Dan Bearpark hit 19 and William Samways 29 but Callum Giles top scored with an unbeaten 30 as they closed on 132-4 from their 20 overs. Harry Samways, Alex Brinton, Jamie Blackmore and William Arnold all picked up wickets as the Bishops Waltham reply first fell behind the rate and ended 37 runs short with three wickets remaining.

Compton and CF U13 v Longparish U13.

Longparish U13 crashed out of the Barfoot Cup at the second round stage against a strong Compton and CF U13 side. Batting first Callum Giles and Hamish Janaway hit 22 apiece and skipper William Samways notched another unbeaten 30 as Longparish set a target of 107 for victory. Jordan Blackmore picked up an early wicket but Trodd, 29, Deacon, 30 and Jameel 25 saw Compton and CF through to the quarter-final.

Bishops Waltham U11 v Longparish U11.

Harry Cardno, Liam Whitehorn, Ben Wills and Ben Arnold picked up wickets for Longparish U11 in this quarter-final of the Oliver Plate competition as Bishops Waltham U11 closed on 108 from their 20 overs.

Cardno and Whitehorn were also in the runs at the top of the Longparish order and a superb unbeaten 30 from Daniel Parkyn kept his side in an exciting run chase that ultimately fell seven runs short.
