ANDOVER Town defeated AFC Aldermaston 2-1 away from home in the league after two weeks without football for town teams due to poor weather.

Aldermaston scored the first goal when Lyndon Tyson breached the Town defence just before the end of the first half.

But Town came back to the game in brilliant fashion in the 80th minute and then scored another one three minutes later to grab all three points at the Mettal Stadium.

Town will face Clanfield at home on Saturday, November 11.

Andover New Street also had their games postponed last weekend due to a waterlogged pitch.

This Saturday, Street will travel to Cams Alders for their second meeting with Fareham this season.

The previous meeting between the two sides this season, ended in a 2-2 draw with goals from Cameron Thatcher and Matt Scott, the latter coming deep in stoppage time earning Street a point.

Street's last league visit to Fareham was in December 2018 when they drew 2-2 with Callum Sweeney scoring both goals.

The Andover side did however go down to Cams Alders twice last season in the league cup on two of the coldest nights of the winter with the first game abandoned at halftime and the second finishing in the home side’s favour.
