AN ANDOVER girl has been called up to play for the England U18 rugby team.

Joanne Vosakiwaiwai has been picked to play for England Red Roses U18 for their game against Ireland next month.

The former Andover Rugby Football Club player is now part of the Thames Valley England development programme in Oxford.

Joanne who is from Augusta Park was a student of Winton Community Academy in Andover.

She comes from a family of rugby players.

Her dad Josh is in the Army and is one of the senior coaches at Andover RFC.

Joanne’s brother and sisters also play rugby.

Her mum Ruth and Josh also organise the annual Fijian Kaiviti sevens event in Andover.
