The Andover Pool winter season kicked off last Thursday.
With 59 teams and more than 650 players taking part every week it remains one of the biggest participant sports in and around the Andover area. Players travel from London, Basingstoke and Southampton to play their matches and all are very welcome. This year the league welcome the Angel, the Wykeham Club and further afield Broughton Football Club, who started well winning their first match 5-4.
Following the recent AGM, chairman Peter Young was joined on the committee by John Gray, John Francis, Paul Genes and Kevin Raw to look after what promises to be a very big season in the pool calendar.
Tickets are available free for the race night on January 29 from Peter Young and Sean Curtis and there are spaces available for the Andover Open in late February.
