Sweet Science held their third boxing show last Saturday at Longmeadow, Whitchurch.

The evening started well with Keiren Green executing a perfectly planned bout as he dominated throughout and was given the unanimous decision. Dom Stevens turned early nerves into some excellent punches and stayed the distance but was unlucky not to win. Charlie Flowers was disappointed as his opponent pulled out but Tom Longshaw was against an opponent from Blandford with two more bouts and an extra win to his name and marginally lost on points.

Conor Green, with two wins and a defeat under his belt was feeling confident against a strong opponent with an extra bout and win to his name. Conor fought hard coming close to stopping his opponent in the second round, the win going deservedly his way. Ricky Gayati’s match also pulled out which was a real disappointment to Ricky, he has only just come back from injury and was relishing his return. Dave Awde was up against Mathew Cleeve from the Golden Ring Club from Southampton and the home crowd were on their feet in the third round when Dave was knocked down but came back strong to also floor his opponent. It was voted bout of the evening but Dave was unlucky and a third match is a real possibility. Reflex dance group entertained the crowd and ring girls Charlotte, Alisha, Becki and Hannah were also in attendance.
