LUDGERSHALL Sports were knocked out of the Wiltshire Senior Cup in a 3-0 defeat to Wessex Premier League side Amesbury.
The Wiltshire Premier League side faced a tough ask against their high-flying opponents, who sit, in principle, 36 places above them in the football ladder.
But there was no cup upset for Ludgershall who were easily seen off by Jim Macey’s side, thanks to goals from Curtis Angell, Paul Coventry and Joshua Stockwell.
Amesbury will be joined in the quarter finals by Downton.
Goals from Declan McGregor, Ben Smith and Jamie Waters wrapped up a 3-1 victory over Devizes Town on Tuesday night.
The other two second-round games have yet to be played.
