ANDOVER’S young Fighting Falcons have finished off their year with success in both domestic and international competitions.

Wins for brother and sister Callum and Abbie Hollinshead on the CIMAC Super League sees them both leading the table and with only one competition left they are in a strong position to finish with the National Title.

This month also saw Team Falcons at the Bristol Open.

As a whole the team fought well but it was senior fighters, Callum Hollinshead and Brandon Prince who excelled to bring back golds in divisions packed with top class international fighters.

Ten-year-old Joshua Poyser and 13-year-old Connor Burdock recently England at the WKU World Champions.

Josh took on a German fighter which he narrowly lost to on a split decision to finish with a bronze medal.

Connor Burdock flew through his rounds took book a final place against the German that had beaten Josh.

In his third attempt at a World Title Connor outmatched his opponent to win the two round fight.

Both boys also picked up silvers in the point fighting team events.
