I REFER to the letter from a Mr Underwood in the Andover Advertiser of Friday, November 7, 2014.

I have no idea who you are – I can only assume that you could be a supporter of the Lib Dems.

For the record, yes, I stood with the Conservatives in 2007 and as an Independent in 2011, not, as you stated, as an Andover Independent. I have never been a candidate for the Lib Dems – you can check this out if you look at the Test Valley Borough Council website.

As for being a candidate for the next election I can only thank you for letting me know as this is news to me.

Furthermore the letter you refer to does not suggest that I am connected with any political party if you care to read it.

As for providing any proposals I work for the people and what they ask for I pursue. I have resolved numerous issues.

Nevertheless I respect your opinion and thank you for giving me media attention.
