COULD someone please explain why, when the ‘new’ bus station was planned, Shopmobility was located at the furthest point from the shopping centre?
Also when we arrive on Dial-a-Ride buses there is, on numerous occasions, nowhere to park.
The area at the side of Shopmobility is taken up by parked Stagecoach buses.
There is an area in front of Shopmobility with shrubs which appear to serve no useful purpose.
If that was cleared it could provide a parking space reserved specifically for Shopmobility transport.
Does no one understand that passengers on these buses are in most cases in need of walking aids or mobility scooters and need immediate access? It seems that once again common sense does not prevail.
Maybe the thinking is ‘let’s forget the elderly and disabled’.
