I REALLY do despair at times with those supposedly running both HCC and TVBC.

Just prior to completion of our insane bi-directional cycleway, a sign was erected at the entrance to The Crescent advising both pedestrians and cyclists that the route to the town centre is via The Lower Drove. Since when?

It is obvious that the sign is to persuade cyclists to travel this route. That will have zero effect.

No sane person would either walk or cycle to the town via this route and those not familiar with the area would probably get lost anyway if they took the council’s advice.

Rather, they would, and do quite rightly, carry on down Weyhill Road which takes them directly into town. So why bother spending our money on this sign at all?

Isn’t it about time that someone, in either or both councils, is held to account as to how wisely our council taxes are spent?
