HOW much did Hampshire County Council spend on the new cycle route down the Weyhill Road.
Was it £300,000?
Driving home to Weyhill on the Weyhill Road last Thursday lunchtime, the lorry in front suddenly slowed.
Then I saw the reason – a cyclist was riding in the road.
Was this cyclist making his objection to the money spent, or did he not realise that the widened path was for him to use?
In his defence the signs saying that the path is for cyclists and pedestrians are so small. It took ages before me and my wife saw the minute signs on the posts.
How do these councillors get elected to make such ridiculous decisions on behalf of us taxpayers?
