I WOULD like to offer a big thank you, through your letter page, to all those involved when I had the misfortune to fall in The Chantry Centre on Saturday, September 14.
From my recall, sincere thanks must go to the security staff who were quickly on the scene and offered comfort throughout and kept vigil over me.
No names or faces, just legs and boots, though I do recall one having ‘cronky’ knees (my words). The passer-bys, professional and otherwise that I could hear offering assistance.
To the lady who sat with me just before the ambulance crew finally arrived, spoke to me and held my hand. Would that be Heather Flack? To my good friend Jacky who stayed with me, from the scene to A&E, overnight and the following days. If I have missed anyone I apologise, I was in a lot of pain.
The outcome of the fall was a broken humerus.
