MIGHT I have some space to thank Helen Batterby for inviting Ken and I to go on Castledown radio station?

We readily accepted as we went on before and we loved it.

Kevin and the rest of the gentlemen crew are so kind and make you feel at home.

It’s just a pleasure to be with them.

I read two of my poems and Helen mentioned my short story that I came third in.

Ken was able to discuss his drawing of which he now is the proud owner of two certificates and he’s improving all of the time.

It doesn’t matter at what age you are to do writing, drawing or any art form.

It is great and you are never too old to get involved.

If you live on your own it’s great to have a hobby. Poetry and short story writing is terrific for keeping the mind and senses busy.

I belong to the Kingfisher Poets based at Salisbury Art Centre and we are looking for more members, so if you are free on a Thursday at 10.30am pop in and ask for the Kingfisher group. The art centre is on Bedwin Street.

You can get a meal there, take a look at some of the proceeds from the pottery class and there are a lot of projects going on.

Art is good medicine and no matter at what age you can become involved.

God bless all of you at the Andover art centre and thank you for placing my story in about food banks and harvest festival.
