WITH reference to your headline “Ambulance service is ‘a lottery’”.
Recently I had a fall at home being unconscious for a time. After calling 111, who then advised a 999 call for an ambulance. This occurred at approximately 4.15am. The ambulance arrived to me at 7.15. A three hour wait.
The ambulance personnel stated that they were there with me as they had a cancelled call and were in the area. Pure luck, a lottery.
