THERE is so much said against Andover that I thought you might like this.
Many people cry out for a department store I wonder if they realise that in a town this size the only thing having a department store would do is that all our small shops would be consumed into one building.
Who will visit a town for one building? What we need is cheaper shop rents and all full.
My main reason for writing is that last week I took into my head to re-cover my conservatory suite.
Quite an ambitious challenge.
I went to town to Pennies, and with much help, patience, politeness and lots of laughter I obtained all I needed.
I am pleased to say it is finished and I am quite pleased with the outcome. Would I have got this service in a bigger town / store? I don’t think so.
Come people wake up and smell the coffee. Use our shops or lose our shops. Your choice!
