A RECENTLY released government document (DOC FCO30/1048) ‘Sovereignty and the European Community’ 1971 proved at last, what a majority of us older UK citizens have suspected for a long time.

That from the time of Edward Heath’ premiership (1970-1974) to recent years, our so called ruling classes have colluded, backed by a biased civil service to undermine the sovereignty of our country.

It was to con us into joining the EEC (European Economic Community - 1973), the forerunner of the European Union which we ‘joined’ in 1993.

It makes interesting reading as part of it was a guide to ‘crushing Britain’s’ political standing on the world’s stage.

This document suggests that the people (us) are too stupid to grasp the implication of joining the EEC and that indeed this stupidity could be used against them to hide the truth until it was too late to do anything about it.

It also acknowledges that Britain would in time become ‘little more than a puppet (vassel) state of Brussels’, after ceding ‘judicial and executive powers’ to the EU — then called the EEC. The ‘civil service’ authors went as far as to warn ministers to ‘hide the truth’ from the British public. They also suggested that the Government (Heath and co) should keep the British public in the dark about what EEC membership means predicting that it would take 30 years for voters to realise what was happening by which time it would be too late to leave.

This document shows how Heath and the Foreign Office knew EU membership would dismantle Britain as a sovereign nation.

Theresa May, the closet Remainer, proved, at the recent Chequers cabinet meeting, that Heath’s plan was alive and well, albeit packaged as a way to ‘exit the EU’ and ‘hide the truth from the stupid people’.
