WHAT a load of old twaddle P Rigby wrote in his letter regarding Kit Malthouse who is standing for the Conservative seat as Sir George is retiring.

P Rigby says that Diane James is actively seeking a local residence in order to be accessible in this area. How long does it take to find somewhere or will it be after she knows whether she will be elected? Kit Malthouse has already moved into a house in one of the villages so he is already situated here and is getting to know the local area and the constituents..

Kit may be unknown to some of you, but then, who is Diane James?

And indeed how many locals had heard of Sir George before he came to North West Hampshire?

As for continuing as Deputy Mayor of London, Kit has made it quite clear that he will stand down when he is elected. Can we be sure that Diane James will give up her post of MEP?

I have met Kit on several occasions and I think he will prove to be an honest, hardworking and understanding MP and will most certainly throw everything he has got into helping the constituents of North West Hampshire.

Oh, and while we’re at it, Cllr Ian Carr has no jurisdiction over the A-boards in town. They are controlled by the county council and not the local council.
