RE Andover and District Home-Start.
Following your article in last week’s edition of the Advertiser, there are a couple of points that I would like to clarify with regard to the grant funding provided by Hampshire County Council.
Firstly, Children’s Services Integrated (CSI) Grants are awarded on an annual basis, not for three years. Grants are awarded to those schemes and projects that meet Children’s Services priorities.
Historically, Home-Start in Andover & District has been successful in its applications for funding and I can confirm that we agreed grant funding of £6,000 for this current financial year (2015-16). The application window for CSI grants for the 2016-17 financial year is still open, with a deadline of November 24.
Lastly, I would like to confirm that no decisions about grant funding for the next financial year can be agreed or confirmed until after the closing date and all the applications have been reviewed.
