RE: ‘KIT Chat’, Advertiser, January 8: ‘We won’t let the values we hold dear be damaged by terrorists’. Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron MP.

You are new here, therefore, all things considered, Kit, Andover WWI Stone Monument since Mrs F Pickets’ first campaign (c.1956) to leave the accolade alone up to Ron Wood’s (the chair, 2010) notwithstanding the academic campaign 1995/2015 ‘Return Cenotaph to Guildhall’ by yours truly, all that remains to be said, if the monument is not returned to its legal position in front of Guildhall; up the Weyhill Road is a ‘modern’ sculpture ‘Tritree’, opposite this monstrosity of many colours is the TVBC HQ and at the entrance of this local conservative government the Union Flag flutters in the wind.

These colours should be replaced with a large, bright yellow one and every member – regardless of political ‘colour’ – of the TVBC and Andover Town Council should be presented with a ‘white feather’ by Falklands veteran Mr Simon Weston on his visit to Andover next month.

And I would suggest, to any young people who are considering joining HM Forces – which could result in a serious injury or even death – think about a career change.

The only thing that’s certain this year is that the First World War Monument will be returned to its rightful and legal place of honour in front of the Guildhall.

Because it’s all over concerning the conservative ‘pantomime’ of words regarding this matter in law.

PS. Has anybody seen those two missing seats in front of the Guildhall anywhere?

Russell KC Tarrant, Admirals Way, Andover.
