THE Andover Hard of Hearing Club celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a party in January at Mulberry House, Silkweavers Road, Andover.

Chris Read, their chairman, welcomed two very special guests — Debbie Hollmann who started the club at Harroway School and Debbie Sacree a former co-ordinator.

Members were entertained by magician Michael King and were amazed by his clever tricks, many taking place at close quarters as he made his way around the room and involved every member in some way.

Everyone contributed to the afternoon tea and celebration cakes were made by Paul Read, Pam Chaston and Barrie Wickens. There was also a raffle organised by Pam Chaston and a good time was had by all.

The club meets every second Wednesday in the month at Mulberry House commencing at 2pm. There is normally a guest speaker and occasional outings are organised. New members are always welcome and for more information please contact Brian Orchard on 01264 362485.
