I HAVE just read the article in Friday's paper about the post service - or rather the lack of it. When I read the Royal Mail statement that said ‘when a delay does occur it is no more than two days’, my immediate response was not printable. I live on King Arthur’s Way and have a subscription to a weekly newspaper, delivered by post. This used to arrive in a Saturday, or occasionally a Monday, but weekly none the less.
Now I am lucky if I see a copy once a fortnight. At the moment I am still waiting for the copy from Friday, October 20 and also from Friday; the last post I had was October 16. Whichever parts of Andover get “their mail on a daily basis ” it is not my neighbourhood.
