I just wanted to say that I am most impressed and grateful with the Advertiser team.

I spoke to someone from the Andover Advertiser via WhatsApp yesterday and asked whether they would donate old papers for a local nursery I work at to be burned in our outside classroom log burners.

They pointed me in the direction of Chineham offices where about 100 old papers were being stored.

I called the office and spoke with reporter Mark Paine. Not only was he helpful, he offered to deliver them to me in Andover as he was going to a meeting in Andover that evening.

I was gobsmacked. It was an extremely kind gesture and my nursery is very appreciative of the donation.

I would kindly ask, if possible whether you could keep me in mind should you find yourself with a bunch of old papers again as they are always needed at the nursery.

If any reader would also like to donate, we would kindly accept donations when we open again on January 2.

Please pass on my gratitude to the staff involved and Merry Christmas to you all!
