ROMSEY and Eastleigh MENCAP is to receive £3,000 for carnival costume design and delivering workshops for adults with learning disabilities.
The money was granted by Hampshire County Council and is part of a wider scheme that will see many Hampshire groups benefitting.
Cllr Andrew Gibson, pictured, county council’s executive member for culture, recreation and countryside, said the investment supported the wellbeing of residents
He said: “These groups provide opportunities for people to participate in, and enjoy, a range of community focused, cultural and recreational activities, as well ensuring that those who may be at risk of social isolation are integrated into inclusive events.
“Our investment supports the wellbeing of all Hampshire residents through the work delivered by village halls and community associations.”
